With decades of experience as a voiceover artist and director, I bring real-world expertise to every aspect of my coaching, providing accent and dialect coaching for actors and professionals at the international level. My career spans decades working in ADR, looping, and voice matching, for television, film and advertising projects. This isn’t theory — it’s lived, working knowledge of the entertainment industry and expert knowledge of linguistics, practical and academic, and this depth of experience allows me to coach with precision, discretion, and a clear understanding of what is required in auditions, on sets, or on a post-production stage. My coaching methods are grounded in real-world professional practice.
I understand firsthand how exposed and vulnerable it can feel to add a new dialect or accent to a performance, especially under the pressure of auditions, set work or post-production. Accent work is deeply personal and may bring up insecurities. Having successfully transformed my own native dialect into a completely different one at the highest native level, I have refined an effective, empathetic approach that helps performers sound authentic and natural. My coaching approach is designed to support truthful performance, emotional freedom and consistency under pressure. As a perfectionist on the search for authenticity, I am sought after for my honesty and attention to detail, and I will push you to deliver your best performance while being the biggest ally you can count on. I will break down the script for you, create a transliterated version of your lines when necessary, and guide you to achieve the appropriate sounds and rhythms, through mouth and tongue position, drills and exercises. When necessary, I will provide recordings and samples to guide you so that you can practice on your own. I like my students to understand the process fully so that they become self-sufficient. After working with me, students will begin to self-correct before I even open my mouth!
I specialize in coaching non-native English actors preparing for roles in English, as well as native English speakers seeking to master new accents or languages. I am also a specialist in US-to-UK accent modification, helping clients achieve clear, authentic, and performance-ready results. I help actors deliver credible performances on stage, on screen, and in the recording booth.
